Vasai-Virar Multi-Specialty Hospital Gets Green Signal for Achole Land

The long-awaited Vasai-Virar multi-specialty hospital project has finally taken a step forward as the state government has approved land allocation in Achole, Vasai taluka, Palghar district. The decision was finalized in a meeting chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

This move is expected to transform healthcare access for the rapidly growing population of Vasai-Virar, which has long been demanding advanced medical facilities within the municipal corporation’s limits.

Land in Achole Reserved for Hospital Construction

The approved land in Mouje-Achole was earlier reserved for a district court and residential housing. However, considering the urgent need for a modern hospital, the state government has allowed a change in reservation, transferring the land to the Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation (VVMC) exclusively for healthcare purposes.

Local MLA Rajan Balkrishna Naik had been actively pushing for this approval, requesting that the land be handed over to VVMC free of cost. Responding to the growing healthcare demands of citizens, the proposal was finally cleared with necessary conditions attached.

Strict Conditions for Land Use

Authorities have clearly stated that this land must be used only for the development of a multi-specialty hospital. Encroachments or misuse of the property will not be permitted. VVMC has also been directed to ensure that the land is safeguarded and utilized solely for healthcare infrastructure.
