Three unidentified guys beat a driver and shattered his car’s windscreen on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad national highway at Vasai on Friday, purportedly for allegedly changing lanes. On social media, a video of the occurrence was shared.

On July 23, around 10 a.m., Harsh Panchal (27), a Thane resident and trader, was driving his Mahindra Scorpio automobile. He was driving down the Ahmedabad road.

Panchal said in his report to the Valiv police that his vehicle was approaching the Ertiga car (MH-43B-U0068). While seated inside their vehicle at Sativalikhind on the highway, the accused guys threatened him with a baseball bat.

Later in the video, the accused males come to a halt, alight, and break Panchal’s front windscreen.

The males assaulted Panchal with the bat on his head and limbs, according to Panchal’s complaint. He was only slightly hurt.

The police filed charges under IPC sections 323, 324 (intentionally inflicting bodily harm with dangerous weapons), and criminal intimidation.

The process of identifying the accused men is already underway, according to police.
