In a dramatic late-night development, Vasai MLA Sneha Dubey Pandit raid at 2:30 AM on Saturday uncovered bars in Vasai West operating well beyond the permitted hours. The incident has sparked strong criticism of local law enforcement for alleged negligence.

According to reports, Pandit received a tip-off that two establishments inside Dattani Mall — Wings on Fire and Pankha Fast — were serving alcohol to youngsters past midnight. Acting swiftly, she reached the spot with her team and discovered a large number of youths openly consuming alcohol inside the bars.

Police Called to the Scene

The MLA questioned the operators regarding their license timings and immediately contacted the Senior Police Inspector of Vasai Police Station. The officer arrived soon after and ordered the closure of both establishments.

However, what shocked locals was Pandit’s revelation that two policemen were already present outside the bars, allegedly “on duty for the bar owners.” This led her to accuse the police of protecting illegal activities instead of enforcing the law.
